My belief is what proverbs says "...can a leopard change his spots..." "...out of a man's heart, so he speaks..."
I cannot believe he said it, talk about a slap in the face of our Sons and Daughters, Men and Women, Fathers and Mothers who are "volunteers" they have left their children and the chance to be home for the Holidays, to give us the freedom to complain.

If Kerry had never served in the military I might have believed he was dissing the troops. There is a difference between misspeaking and deliberately being offensive. That said I think he should have apologized for misspeaking and clarified what he wanted tro say sooner.

Where is Bush's apology to the troops for getting them into a war based on lies? Where is his apology for not providing them with adequate body armor. Where is Bush's apology for cutting Veteran's health benefits? Where is Bush's apology to our troops for cutting aid to military familes.

First of all, at least he is not KILLING all of our troops like Bush is doing!
Second of all, it is true that the recruiters target people from poor areas of the country who may have no other choice but to join the army to support their families because they were not given the opportunities of education that the rich have. Did you not see Fahrenheit 911? Michael Moore explicitly shows trecruiters in poor black neighborhoods promising these young kids a great education, telling them they will not have to see any combat, making out like it is a very cushy job. Wake up people! How many children of the people running and ruining this country at the for the past 4 yrs. do you hear about being sent to fight in Iraq? You mean the Republicans doing things like:
- Calling our troops terrorists
- Assuming our troops are guilty of every accusation against them
- Tying thier hands in fighting the terrorists
- Trying to provide terrorists in foreign countries American Constitutional rights?
