County Democratic Central Committee and the California State Democratic Committee. In 1992, she became the first Asian-American woman to be elected to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) from the continental United States. Christine Pelosi, author of Campaign Boot Camp - Basic Training for Future Leaders, will also present leadership lessons from the campaign trail and be available to sign copies of her book. Christine directs the AFSCME PEOPLE/New House PAC Congressional Candidates Boot Camp, which helped elect 12 new members of Congress in 2006. "Pelosi was especially inspiring and informative. She brought home what our roles can be at the grass roots to get people to vote."

"Alec, The meeting today was really good! I wish that there had been much less chatter and more action. As loyal Democrats, we cannot afford to be "meeting to just be meeting." It is absolutely imperative that every time one or more Democrats are gathered in a meeting setting we need to walk away with a realistic action plan and timelines. Additionally, you should require every member to take an active role on one of the committees this important election year or they should inactivate their membership until they can commit to actively participating. The above is my humble opinion. "
