Announcing a new meeting for The San Diego North County Democratic Party Meetup Group!
What: Mega Progressive Coalition Breakout Session When: Monday, March 10, 7:00 PM Where: Click the link below to find out! Meeting Description: The San Diego Mega Progressive Community Coalition will continue to plan strategy for our summits. At our previous Breakout sessions, we decided to focus on prison and drup policy and economic boycott strategies. The Community Actors Theatre is our venue for Break out sessions to make plans. The Breakout sessions will occur every Monday at 7PM. It is an excellent venue. It has ample seating, meeting rooms, parking, a projector for presentations, sound and lighting systems. It is located just south of University Avenue on 54th Street, corner of College Grove and 54th. We can broadcast the meetings live on Internet TV. http://www.helloworld...  .For the months of March and April, we will focus on Prison and Drug Policy. The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world! According to the Pew Report, one out of every 99 Americans is incarcerated! 2,219,258 American adults were in prison or jail at the start of 2008! A New Path, Drug Policy Alliance Network, All Of Us Or None, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition and Bay Recovery Center will take center stage at our Summits on the third Sunday of each month at 6 PM at Joyce Beers Community Center in Hillcrest (One and a Half Blocks North of University on Vermont across from Trader Joes and Ralphs). We will be showing Part one of the movie, American Drug War: The Last White Hope at the 16 March 2008 Summit followed by a discussion of upcoming events. All organizations will get an opportunity to speak and outline their schedules. We need to plan public speaking events for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, a group of retired and active District Attorneys, CIA - FBI - DEA Agents, police and Police Chiefs who oppose current prison and drug policy. They will be flying out a representative for our 20 April 2008 Summit where we will be showing Part II of American Drug War: The Last White Hope.
