I do understand the need to remain connected for future elections, but will there be a specific goal to focus on now? Getting together is great, but a common goal (now that the candidacy of Mark Warner has been determined) would be a good idea. And a somewhat task directed function wouldn't hurt either.

As far as I can tell, no one "got together" on Jan 9. I went to Front Page and couldn't find the meetup group

To find the group, look carefully for a small Meet-Up sign tacked behind the tables - usually, one of the smaller ones near the bar with 4-5 stools around them. Bruce has an animated smile and bright blue eyes and is very tan (- assuming you're not a regular yet, and if so, my apologies -). I have short brown hair, stand around 5'5" and am almost always with a beer, or glass of merlot. And if at the bar, I'll be chatting away with someone...

Am I missing something? Did Mark Warner decide to run recently? If yes, that would be great. Thus far the Democratic line-up leaves a lot to be desired.

No, Mark Warner stepped out of the race before Christmas. The Meet-Up group hasn't dispersed that we can see, and the goal (I think) is to maintain the group itself to prep for the next candidate we can agree collectively to support. Building up a grassroots effort takes work, so eliminating the need for a second build-up is preferable.

I hope I'm not imposing with this recommendation, but I recommend that we not plan on the Meet-Up taking place tomorrow, unless we hear from Bruce. It seems things have fallen since Warner withdrew, and maybe we need to retract and draw up a new game plan.
