Let's all support Laura Martin!

At Saturday's meeting of the Clark County Democratic Party Central Committee (5/10), it was announced that a vacancy for the position of Recording Secretary must be filled. There will be an election in July.

One of our steadfast MeetUp Group members, Laura Martin, has decided to to run for election to this important executive board position. Those of you who may not be familiar with Laura Martin should know that she is a tireless Democratic activist who has championed heathcare for all Americans, protested the ongoing occupation of Iraq by US forces, stood strong for her favored presidential candidate, made phone calls, walked precincts, attended rallies, and otherwise been there for Democratic causes whenever needed. She's a charter member of the newly formed Nevada Democratic Black Caucus and quite simply a selflessly nice person to know. We couldn't ask for a better Recording Secretary in the county party organizaton.
