Welcome, Sacramento Democrats, Progressives!

Our mission is to advance Progressive causes through activism, discussion and to educate ourselves and others through forums , speakers and discussion groups. The Progressive causes which concern us include issues of Foreign Policy and Peace, issues of Conservation of Natural Resources and Energy Independence and Alternatives, issues of Civil Liberties and Privacy and issues of Economic and Social Justice and Responsibility.

As a political entity, we seek through lawful means to advance the election of Democratic candidates to office and to hold those elected to the principles which got them into office. We desire to network with other organizations whose goals are consistent with our own.

We seek as members, all who share our goals regardless of race, gender identity, religious outlook, or socio-economic status. We recognize the diversity that has made our society great.

We seek to raise our nation up to its potential, not to drag our opposition or ourselves down through partisan political intransigence.

We hope to enjoy the company of politically like-minded people and to enjoy the sort of political discussion that defines a free society.
