President Bush's Part D prescription drug disaster was written of, by and for the pharmaceutical and insurance companies. It epitomizes the corrupt, pay-to-play Washington politics that too many politicians and their corporate allies continue to dump on the American people.

As your constituent, I deserve to know whether you stand with me or with the big pharmaceutical and insurance companies. I have a simple question and would like a straightforward answer: Will you fight to fix President Bush's Part D disaster by

1. creating a simple and effective prescription drug plan run by Medicare,
2. committing that plan, by law, to negotiate for the lowest possible drug prices,
3. guaranteeing coverage for the prescriptions your constituents need regardless of how their health changes
