Hi all,

I just got this message today from the filmmaker's of "Uncounted - The New Math of American Elections" and want to share it with all of you.

If a Kucinich Falls in a Forest, Does it Make a Sound?

Two of Congressman Dennis Kucinich's 35 Articles of Impeachment have to do with election integrity (or the lack there of ) of the administration of George W. Buch. Article 28 charges President Bush with "Tampering with Free and Fair Elections, Corruption of the Administration of Justice," and Article 29 with "Conspiracy to Violate the Voting Rights Act of 1965."

And it's no coincidence that the word we chose for the title of our documentary was mentioned four times by Congressman Kucinich in Article 29:

P. Willfully allowing his agent, Ohio Secretary of State John Kenneth Blackwell, the Co-Chair of the Bush-Cheney Re-election Campaign, to ensure that uncounted and provisional ballots in Ohio's 2004 presidential election would be disproportionately concentrated in urban African-American districts.

Q. In Ohio's Lucas County, which includes Toledo, 3,122 or 41.13% of the provisional ballots went uncounted under the direction of George W. Bush's agent, the Secretary of State of Ohio, John Kenneth Blackwell, Co-Chair of the Committee to Re-Elect Bush/Cheney in Ohio.

R. In Ohio's Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland, 8,559 or 32.82% of the provisional ballots went uncounted.

S. In Ohio's Hamilton County, which includes Cincinnati, 3,529 or 24.23% of the provisional ballots went uncounted.

Stealing Pennyslvania

I?m sure he didn?t realize what he was saying. But on Sunday morning during a discussion of the McCain campaign strategy, ABC News? George Snuffleupagus* said that the McCain campaign would try and ?steal Pennsylvania? from Senator Obama. I?m sure he thought he was being hyperbolic by using the word ?steal,? but with a majority of Pennsylvania counties still using electronic voting machines rather than paper ballots, he is being very literal.

But it?s not just Pennsylvania. It's Wisonsin, Missouri, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada. And it?s not just trouble with electronic voting machines. Read more?

On the Steps of the State Capitol

There's something about a majestic state capitol building which stirs a patriot's soul. Even more so when the capitol is one of the country's originals. And so it is with great pride that we announce, for the first time ever, a screening of Uncounted in a legislative hall. We hope the ghostly - but not boo! scary - figure of Benjamin Franklin will be watching from the wings.

I hope you are alerting your neighbors and friends about this Special Opportunity as well as hopefully you can see this for yourself. This has already affected your vote, both parties all across the country. I hope you can join us this meeting.

If you know anyone not on the list who intends to attend, please give me a head count or a heads up. That helps to prepare the room.
