I would sit on my hands and do nothing but watch if that is your opinion.

I apologize for sounding naive, but I don't understand why a "thank you" is not enough.  Is everyone who donated to a winning presidential campaign expecting a job in the White House or some sort of political favor?  If that is the case, then perhaps we are in more trouble than I ever thought.  Did Bill Clinton promise people jobs then back out on those promises?  I appreciate your opinion on this, but I fear it misses the point of why we should support or select a given candidate.  We should be selecting our respective party's nominee based on their ability to win the election in November and how well we believe they would carry out the job of President.  I would hope that personal animosity over a perceived snub would not, but perhaps I am wrong.

Sincerely,
a fellow Dem

I will never forget my experience working for the Clintons because I will never help their campaign again.
After winning the election in 1992 and starting to build an Administration, they set about placing people who didn't do anything to get him elected, and many people who didn't even vote for him.
Many people who worked and contributed to the campaign got nothing more then a thank you letter.   Maybe, they could have gotten invited to the South Lawn for a thank you reception, but nothing more.
