William (Bill) Davnie is a retired Foreign Service Officer. He has served Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan's northern neighbor, Tajikistan, where he followed Afghan affairs, and has visited Afghanistan professionally. Read more
